The Albert Lea Fire Dept. held an open house
on Saturday, October 12th, 2002. In accordance with Fire Prevention Week.

New York firefighters Brian Thomas and Jimmy Duffy visited Albert Lea on
Sept. 5th and 6th, 2002. Both of the firefighters had gone into the World Trade Centers on Sept. 11, 2001. They gave
a speech on what it was like that day. It was a very touching speech. Here are some pictures of the firemen (they're

is pictured directly above this text. We have one fire truck which is our aerial ladder #916, 916 was not at Hammer Field
when Brian and Jimmy were there.
